You will learn about pastels, the various strokes and techniques.  Using them to produce a small landscape.   Bring pastels, pastel paper, support for you pastel paper, drop cloth, newspaper, etc.  A limited number of pastels will be available for use.  Pastel paper will be available for purchase.

You will be learning techniques of jewelry making.  Each student will go home with a necklace or earring medallion using your design or one of the instructor.  You will have the knowledge how to make your jewelry at home.  A basic tool kit is required $25.00.  Cost includes copper material,  silver will be available from Nancy at additional cost.  Bring you lunch.

Eliminate color and concentrate on the more important factor of tone, value and placement.  Learn how to measure and start experimenting with the problems of how to portray faces.  Bring a clear photo (at least 4x6) of a face, preferable not someone you know.  Something from a magazine is fine.  Canvas board (9x12 or larger) or watercolor paper mounted can be used, black and white acrylic paints, water container and assorted brushes.
