Alice left the harsh Michigan winters and
retired to wonderful Fairfield Glade, Tennessee 14 years ago with her
husband Ron. While in
Michigan she was an accomplished potter. Alice received training
at Oakland Community College and later at Pewabic Pottery studio for 3
years. She taught pottery at Bishop Gallagher High School, had a
home studio and showed her pottery at many art fairs in and around
Michigan for 15 years.
After moving to Tennessee and
losing her beloved husband she decided to change her artistic medium to
watercolor and drawing. Alice has taken classes at Roane State
Community College and Arrowmont in Gatlinburg along with participating
in numerous workshops with locally acclaimed artists. She
won a 3rd place for one of her watercolors at a juried show last
year.
